Terms of Service

Secret Invite is an event-management and guest-CRM platform: create events, manage invite chains and guest lists, sell tickets, take payment at the door, and message guests who opt in.

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. You are responsible for your account, your team members’ actions, and keeping your credentials secure.

• Follow all applicable laws and obtain any permits your event requires.
• Only message people who have opted in. No spam, no purchased lists, no prohibited content.
• SMS is sent through our shared messaging number; abuse can jeopardize it for everyone, so violating our messaging rules ends your SMS access immediately.
• Don’t misuse, disrupt, or attempt to breach the service.
• You are responsible for the guest data you collect and for having a lawful basis to contact them.

Ticket and door payments are processed by Stripe. As an Organizer, you connect your own Stripe account, you are the merchant of record for your sales, and payouts go to you on Stripe’s schedule. Secret Invite charges a platform fee per transaction (currently the greater of 5% or $3), disclosed before you sell. You are responsible for your prices, taxes, refunds, and chargebacks. Stripe’s terms also apply to payment processing.

SMS is prepaid. Credits are sold in packs, are charged to you at purchase, and are consumed per message segment sent. Credits are non-refundable and have no cash value.

You retain ownership of the content and contact data you upload. You grant us the rights needed to host and operate the service on your behalf. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not run your events and are not responsible for them, for Organizers’ conduct, or for interactions between Organizers and guests.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Secret Invite and Mercatura Holdings LLC are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or to protect the service or its users.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
