Privacy Policy

We serve both individuals and businesses. Organizers use Secret Invite to run events and manage their guest lists; guests use it to RSVP, buy tickets, and receive event details. Some data is provided by Organizers about their guests, and some is provided by guests directly.

Account & workspace data. Name, email, and login details for Organizers and team members; workspace and event details you create.

Guest data. When a guest RSVPs, joins via an invite, or buys a ticket, we collect the name and contact details (phone and/or email) they provide, and their RSVP, attendance, and invite-chain activity. Organizers may also import their own contact lists.

Payment data. Card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store full card numbers; we retain payment records (amount, status, and a Stripe reference) needed to run ticketing and pay Organizers out.

Messaging consent. Email and SMS opt-in/opt-out status, and a record of consent changes (including STOP/unsubscribe requests).

Usage & device data. Basic logs and cookies needed to keep you signed in and to operate and secure the service.

• Operate the platform — events, invites, guest passes, and check-in.
• Process ticket payments and pay Organizers out through Stripe.
• Send only the messages you or an Organizer you opted in with request (event updates, receipts).
• Prevent fraud and abuse, and keep accounts secure.
• Provide support and improve the service.

Organizers may text guests who have opted in. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. We honor opt-outs across the platform. We do not share your phone number or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share data only as needed to run the service:

• With the Organizer of an event you engage with — the info a guest provides is shared with that event’s Organizer so they can host you and reach you.
• With service providers acting on our behalf — Stripe (payments & payouts), Twilio (SMS), Resend (email), and Cloudflare (hosting & storage). They may only use the data to provide their service to us.
• For legal reasons — to comply with law or protect rights and safety.
• In a business transfer — as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Your data is stored in the United States. We do not store this data outside of the US.

We keep data for as long as an account or event is active and as needed for the purposes above, then delete or de-identify it, except where we must retain records (for example, payment records for tax and accounting).

You can opt out of SMS (reply STOP) or email (unsubscribe link) at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To make a request, or to ask an Organizer to remove you from their list, email [email protected].

Secret Invite is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy; we’ll change the date above and, for material changes, provide notice. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.
